Thickenin the sides is the first job, using a low angle block plane and scrapers.

nice photos, but...what do you use for making that thickness caliper..? is it wood or plastic?
I'm going to build something like that with a gauge I already have.

ReplyDeleteThe caliper is made from wood, but it's a bit to flexible. Will be better to think of something from met f.i. aluminum
