Locating the exact bridge position using two pieces of rope and a scale.
To secure the exact position I drill two 1,4 mm holes and insert the drills.
After scribing the bridge outlines with a axacto knife I level the laquer with a chissel

ReplyDeleteIt looks great. I also removed the finish from the bridge footprint on my first acoustic, but I have now decided that I'm going to set the bridge position first on the next one, and mask off the bridge when finishing. I think the risks in removing finish are too big for me.
